Omar Abdullah Criticizes RJD Chief's 'No-Family' Remark, Emphasizes Issue-Based Politics

top-news

JKNC leader Omar Abdullah has weighed in on the recent 'no-family' remark made by RJD chief Lalu Yadav against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that such rhetoric does not sway voters and has historically not benefited the opposition. Abdullah emphasized the importance of addressing pressing issues faced by the electorate rather than engaging in divisive statements.

Abdullah expressed his disapproval of slogans and statements that veer towards personal attacks, highlighting that voters prioritize solutions to their current challenges over sensational rhetoric. He cautioned against giving ammunition to political opponents, suggesting that focusing on issues concerning the people is more impactful than engaging in verbal sparring.

The JKNC leader's remarks come in the wake of Lalu Yadav's criticism of Prime Minister Modi during the party's 'Jan Vishwas Maha Rally' in Patna, where Yadav accused Modi of spreading hatred under the guise of religion. However, Abdullah believes that such attacks do not resonate with voters and instead provide an advantage to Modi.

The 'no-family' remark by Lalu Yadav prompted a united response from top BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, and Jyotiraditya Scindia, who added 'Modi ka Parivaar' to their social media profiles as a countermeasure. Prime Minister Modi also addressed the remark during a public gathering in Telangana, asserting that his life is an open book and that every citizen of the country is part of his family.

Abdullah's stance reflects a broader sentiment in Indian politics, emphasizing the need for issue-based campaigning and constructive dialogue rather than personal attacks and divisive rhetoric. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the focus on addressing the concerns of the electorate remains paramount for parties and leaders seeking electoral success.
